Kumon Method

	At the heart of the Kumon method of learning is the idea that each individual child can reach his or her potential, if given the right support and conditions. Kumon’s programmes aim to increase self-confidence and empower students with the skills to learn for themselves.

	Success from the start
	Your child will begin at an easy starting point, determined by your Instructor at enrolment through our Kumon assessment tests. As work can be easily completed, your child will achieve from day one, building their confidence and giving them self-belief to progress.
	Advance step-by-step
	After a comfortable start, your child will progress steadily, completing a short piece of work each day. Each new assignment is slightly more challenging than the last. The progression is so gradual that students are able to acquire the solid study skills they need to advance independently - skills that will last your child a lifetime.
	Mastery through practice
	Our students don’t just study topics - they master them. Being able to solve problems quickly and accurately builds a growing sense of achievement, and also enables your child to tackle more challenging work with confidence. Only when the student has total command of a topic do they progress to higher levels.
	Individualised progress
	Each step of the way, your child’s Instructor will ensure that work is specifically tailored for them. This flexibility means that if your child is experiencing problems, time can be taken to ensure their understanding. Conversely, if they are ready to be challenged, we can provide the support. Each new piece of work provides a slight advancement, building steadily on abilities acquired earlier and enabling them to develop independent learning skills.
